Ait Benhaddou is an interesting day trip from Marrakech after you cross the High Atlas Mountains, Ait Benhaddou is the UNESCO site classified since 1987 where few families are still living in Ait Benhaddou, along the way you will admire the Berber villages in the mountains of High Atlas village. 4km of rocky off-road along the salty valley of Ounila to get to Ait benhadou kasbah, a natural decoration for many movies which were shot in the area. Take a walk and cross the dried river with our English speaking driver/guide to dominate the the kasbahs of Ait Benhaddou. You will be invited for tea with one of the families. In the afternoon, drive back to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka.

Essaouira is an easy 2 1/2 hour trip from Marrakesh. It might seem a little far to go and come back in a day, but it’s definitely worth it – it is difficult to resist the charms of this beautiful, friendly and relaxed town. Founded in the 18th century, Essaouira was built to be a rival city to Agadir. Formerly known as Mogador, meaning small fortress, it was designed as a fortified town surrounded by Vauban-style ramparts. Essaouira played a major role as an international trading seaport, linking Morocco and sub-Saharan Africa with Europe and the rest of the world. Car-free and clean, Essaouira is known for its fishing port and its blue fleet of wooden fishing boats. There are lots of great dining options for lunch (we’ll give you a map with our favourite ones marked on); close to the port there are tables set up where you can choose your lunch from fish and seafood that has literally just been pulled out of the water.

1 Day Trip Excursion from Marrakech to Ouzoud waterfalls :
We will pick up you at 9.30 am from your hotel. Ouzoud is a two hour drive from Marrakech and a very pretty one passing through stunning and varied countryside.
Ouzoud is located in a valley, within a friendly Berber village with three beautiful tiered waterfalls with a series of spectacular wide to narrow plunges that drop 110m into the river below. The village is very charming. A delicious lunch at one of the pretty restaurants in Ouzoud surrounded by lime-trees or enjoy Moroccan specialties and freshly squeezed orange juice at one of the many cafes along the terraces by the falls. A local guide will take you on a walk down the falls and you may cross the pools of water at the bottom on a raft pulled by people using ropes! We will return to Marrakech in the afternoon by about 4 pm.
